Ranch Modern - Spatial Recomposition
With obvious influence from the Sarasota School of Architecture, this single story mid-century ranch is perfectly located in the city on the way to Siesta Beach.
The home original spirit of inside-outside living has been enhanced with glass replacing the top of walls, allowing daylight in. Exterior walls were removed and replaced with sliding glass. The structure has a full range of passive and active sustainable features.
A new kitchen and new bathrooms were installed, wall structures were changed following strict engineering guidelines and a pool was added as well as an artist studio. The original terrazzo floors were re-polished and the new additions had polished shell terrazzo.
